For the recovery of combustible/conductive dusts on a regular basis you need a vacuum cleaner/dust collector specifically designed for these applications (ATEX Category 1 or 2)

WARNING - Please take note of the following: Since a "cloud of dust" is not defined by ATEX, the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) warns that more than 0.8 mm of combustible dust laying on 5% of the floor of a room is considered a threat of explosion.


SELECTION CRITERIA FOR VACUUM CLEANERSHazardous areas

The following categories of equipment must be used in the Zones indicated:

Category 1 vacuum cleaners in Zone 0 or 20
Category 1 or 2 vacuum cleaners in Zone 1 or 21

  • Please be advised that all Tiger-Vac HEPA/ULPA Filters are Aerosol tested when assembled, either upstream or downstream, inside of the vacuum cleaners.
  • All Tiger-Vac HEPA/ULPA Filters are assembled mechanically with 3 bolts and include a specially designed memory gasket in order to prevent any leaks during the life span of the gasket thus insuring the health and safety of the end user.
